The Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy is an independent 501 (c)(3) non-profit land trust. We exist to protect land, natural resources and important civic open spaces throughout Charleston County. We do this primarily by acquiring land and accepting voluntary conservation easements to maintain land and open spaces for public use, appreciation and enjoyment forever. We also work to educate the public about why land conservation is essential to the identity and quality of life in our urban communities.
We have a professional staff and Board of Directors whose responsibility it is to fulfill the Mission of this organization.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy is to enhance the quality of life for all East Cooper residents through education and preservation of open space by promoting protection, acquisition and stewardship of our land resources.
