Volunteer Opportunities with the Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy
Special Events
Help coordinate membership recruitment events from cookouts to cocktail parties. Would your neighbors and friends be interested in learning more about land preservation in their community? Host a fun awareness event at your home.
Active in other community groups? Invite representatives from MPLC speak at your next meeting or event. Help spread the word about the our mission by distributing promotional materials.
Social Networking and Blogging
Passionate about land conservation and the unique natural character of East Cooper? Assist staff by updating Twitter, Facebook and other social networking sites.
Site Maintenance and Monitoring
Help with trail and site clean-up to maintain the aesthetic appeal and ensure continued public access to conserved spaces.
Writing
Assist staff by writing articles about current MPLC projects, generate verbiage for interpretative signs to be placed at preserved sites, and other help create promotional material for special events and activities.
Know of sites that might be eligible for conservation easements or have thoughts on how to preserve the unique character of the East Cooper area?
