Shem Creek Paddle Benefit

Details 

Sponsored by Nature Adventures Kayak and Canoe Outfitters

Enjoy a beautiful 2 Hour Naturalist Guided historic Kayak paddle in the Mt. Pleasant area among Shrimp boats with festive scenery!  We paddle through a saltwater marsh creek and journey out to a 22 Acre Island Preserve called Crab Bank, which is home to thousands of nesting shorebirds.  We view historic Charleston Harbor, Ft. Sumter, the Sullivans Island Lighthouse and Patriots Point and we'll stop and look for sharks teeth along the way! A great family paddle that kids love!

 

4 Departure Times to Choose From!

9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm or 3:00pm


Time slots are filled on a first come first served bases. Up to 40 people per time slot.

Please Note: We ask that you remain flexible for your seating arrangement.  Single and tandem kayaks will be used for this benefit and kayaks are assigned at random.

Support the MPLC by purchasing a tree(s) for your home, business, school, club or one of the projects we have identified.  Your support not only enables the MPLC to further our mission of protecting and enhancing land and natural resources in East Cooper but also improves the environment for all living things.

Trees purchased will not be available for pick up until September.

Choose from this selection of 4 native tree species!

Live Oaks are needed for Bulls Island National Wildlife Refuge and Bald Cypress and Magnolias are needed for the Sewee Environmental Education Center.
